infraFADA aims to provide updated global taxonomic lists (species, genera) on freshwater animal diversity collated and curated by taxonomic experts. The global Freshwater Animal Diversity Assessment (FADA) checklists will be made available in open access. They will serve as taxonomic backbone for a variety of global biodiversity infrastructures such as the Catalogue of Life (CoL), the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF), the Freshwater Information Platform (FIP), and others.

• September 2026: We will be at the TDWG Conference from 21 to 25 September in Oslo, co-organising SYM37 "A consensus taxonomic reference for improved freshwater biodiversity data and knowledge".

• September 2026: We have released the first finalised groups online, which can be viewed by the general public without the need to register. You can find them at "FADA Database" in the menu. All groups have undergone comprehensive quality control. Should you have any questions or additions, please contact our FADA project manager who will forward your request to the group coordinators.

• We are still looking for several taxonomic experts for several groups. Please contact our FADA project manager, if you want to join the team.
